Weekend Recap
Hello! I hope everyone is doing well through this semester. I don’t know about anyone else, but I know for me at least it has already been jam packed with a whole lot of stuff to do. On Thursday I had to head to the Career Fair they held in the Kinghorn building to film and make a recap video of the event for ONU’s socials. Of course I still walked around and talked to a few tables, some of which I found potential graduate schools I may look into! A few of these grad schools I looked at during this career fair both had completely online courses that could potentially be finished within a year! So there was at least one good thing that came out of that visit! I unfortunately did not like the way my video for the event turned out, it’s not my best work but with so many other things I have going on, and it had a super short turn around that it was honestly kind of rushed.
But then, once I had gotten all of my homework and assignments done, I was free for the weekend! And even better, it was me and my boyfriend's 1 year anniversary! So I got to spend the entire weekend with him just going on little dates here and there, finishing the show we were watching and then binge watching another show we found.
On Saturday we had dressed up a little bit and went out for breakfast at Lulu’s diner in Lima, and then I had dragged him to this new little thrift shop that just opened named Three Thrifty Chics! It was this super cute little house that they had turned into a thrift store, with cool little knick knacks, clothes, shoes, jewelry, hats, you name it! We of course were looking at anything and everything in that store, even trying on hats and sunglasses and giggling like little kids. That was all we did for a little while, until later in the day I went to my hair appointment to get something different done for once! I have had the same highlights for about a year and a half now, and have been attempting to grow it longer so this was like a little reward for myself. Of course we had to end the day by going to Texas Roadhouse for our little anniversary dinner. It was where we had our first date so it was only fitting!
Sunday we went to TjMaxx (doing all of my favorite things) and again, got myself a little treat that will hopefully make doing my hair a lot easier. I found one of those heated round brush wands that are supposed to give you kind of a blowout look. Then I found the CUTEST thing EVER! They had these dog costumes and we somehow found one big enough to fit my boyfriend’s dog. There is no way I would ever deprive anyone of this picture I’m about to put up.
He’s just a little baby spider!! Look at how cute! I swear Drew and I were laughing non stop throughout the store when we found it. So much so that a worker had stopped us and asked if it was for our dog and what kind he was and to tell us that we look like we’re about to have a ball putting this on him. The best part, Mater (a rescue dog we found at a shelter) was completely unfazed by the thing, he didn’t try to take it off or bite at it, just happy to be here!

That picture is adorable! I'm so glad you shared it! Sounds like you had a very fun weekend doing all your favorite things, it's always nice to have a break after a busy week with classes and work! I know it is always so relaxing for me, especially when you can treat yourself!
