Live Tweeting a Youth Football Game

 Hello!

So for context, due to extenuating circumstances I had to live tweet my little brother’s football game over this weekend instead of Homecoming. I originally was going to live tweet my capstone visit to Cardinal Health’s (Velocare) distribution center but then I had to sign an NDA. Now here I am, live tweeting a peewee football game full of ten year olds. I regrettably did not do so well in live tweeting the game, I definitely could have been a lot more descriptive in my tweets and posting more often. In my defense, it was actually kind of interesting and my phone was about to die. I was trying to make sure it didn’t die before the game did.

Let me paint you a picture of this football game. There’s about twelve to fifteen kids on this team, all of them not super big or tall for their age. My little brother however, is the second shortest player and about 60 pounds soaking wet. I’m also pretty sure football is not his favorite thing that he could be doing. Jacob is the type of kid who likes to stay inside and play video games, watch Youtube, and watch movies. The only downside is that he is actually pretty decent as a football player, he just does not have the drive or want to do it and it results in him sitting on the sidelines and only getting put in when someone needs a break. These kids are still too young yet to have assigned positions, so everyone gets a chance to do something different. Let’s get back to the part where these kids are not very large or tall. The team they are going against however, is very large and very tall. They look like they are maybe a full grade older than Jacob’s team, and are certainly playing like it as well. They did put up a good fight, there was a lot of pushing back and forth from each other. Jacob at one point managed to complete a tackle all by himself which was a huge win in my dad’s book! Unfortunately, the other team did end up winning but I hope that it didn’t crush the boys at all. Jacob was unfazed, he doesn't care about football that much to be upset about losing.
